HUDSON REC YOUTH BASKETBALL

Starting with the 2025–2026 basketball season, teams in our Boys and Girls Grades 5–6 and Grades 7–8 divisions participate in the Nashoba Youth Basketball League (NYBL).

The NYBL is a recreational league made up of ten member towns: Berlin, Bolton, Boylston, Clinton, Harvard, Hudson, Lancaster, Maynard, Stow, and West Boylston.

The decision to join the NYBL was made after carefully considering several factors. By combining resources and participants across towns, we can now offer a more diverse and enriching playing experience. Collaborating with neighboring towns helps ensure more consistent team formation and reduces the likelihood of program cancellations due to low enrollment—particularly benefiting our Girls’ divisions. It also contributes to the long-term sustainability of the program.

Please note that participation in the league will involve some travel, as games may be held in any of the towns listed above.

• Season Dates: The season begins Saturday, December 5th and will conclude by February 13th.

• Game Schedule: Regular season games will be played on the following dates; December 5th, 12th, 19th, January 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th. Game times could fall anytime between 8:00am and 5:00pm, depending on opponent and gym availability.

• Playoffs will take place on February 6th and weeknights during the week of February 8th.

The NYBL’s rules closely mirror those of our current Hudson Rec Youth Basketball league. While many towns require their travel players to also participate on their rec teams, the NYBL emphasizes and takes pride in its recreational style of play—perfectly aligning with Hudson Recreation’s philosophy.

REGISTRATION FEE: $130.00

Player Evaluations: Will take place in early October. Date and time to be announced.

*Information regarding our Kindergarten thru Grade 4 programs will be announced in October.
