2025-2026 INSTRUCTIONAL YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAMS
These grade-based programs are intended to promote the fundamentals of basketball, but more importantly fun and exercise. All Basketball Programs are open to Hudson Residents and/or Children who attend Hudson Public Schools.
The success of our programs is due in large part to the commitment of our staff and volunteers.

All programs will take place between November 17th and February 14th. Additional information, including scheduling information and cost, for each division can be found by clicking on the division below.
Registration for Grades 5-8 closes on October 20th.
Registration for Grades K-4 closes on October 31st. EXTENDED UNTIL NOVEMBER 7th.
DIVISIONS FOR 2025-2026 SEASON
These clinics are for children currently in Kindergarten or 1st grade. Participants will gather weekly to participate in a 50-minute clinic on Saturdays, for 8 weeks. Each week will consist of age-appropriate drills and fun games, focused on learning and building on the fundamentals of basketball.
For children currently in 2nd grade. This level builds upon the fundamentals of our Kindergarten / Grade 1 program and introduces players to “game situations” on an 8’ basket. Basic basketball skills and strategies will be introduced. Learning and building on the fundamentals are still the top priority of this level.
For children currently in 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade. This level builds upon the fundamentals of our Kindergarten / Grade 1. Players will take part in regulation games on a 9’ basketball with a scorekeeper and a certified referee. Learning and building on the fundamentals are still the top priority of this level.
For children currently in 3rd or 4th grade. This level builds upon the fundamentals of our Coed Grade 2 program. Players will take part in regulation games on a 9’ basketball with a scorekeeper and a certified referee. Learning and building on the fundamentals are still the top priority of this level.
Starting with the 2025–2026 basketball season, teams in our Boys and Girls Grades 5–6 divisions will participate in the Nashoba Youth Basketball League (NYBL)

Unified Basketball
Hudson Recreation Unified Programs are designed to offer participants, regardless of developmental challenges, a collaborative yet competitive, skill-based interactive social learning experience. Unified programs are intended to foster physical activity, independence, self-confidence and teamwork as participants develop new skill-sets with support from staff/volunteers. Participants who may not thrive in a traditional sports-team/league setting may benefit from the Unified Programs. Unified programs are open to children/young adults. This program will start in late November. Registration will open on or about November 1st.
