2024-2025 INSTRUCTIONAL YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAMS
These grade-based non-competitive programs are intended to promote fun, exercise and most importantly the fundamentals of basketball. All Basketball Programs are open to Hudson Residents and/or Children who attend Hudson Public Schools.
The success of our programs is due in large part to the commitment of our staff and volunteers.

DIVISIONS FOR 2024-2025 SEASON
Kindergarten & Grade 1 Clinics
These clinics are for children currently in Kindergarten or 1st grade. Participants will gather weekly to participate in a 50-minute clinic on Saturdays, for 5 weeks. Each week will consist of age appropriate drills and fun games, focused on learning and building on the fundamentals of basketball. Two 5-week sessions will be offered.
COED Grade 2
For children currently in 2nd grade. This level builds upon the fundamentals of our Kindergarten / Grade 1 program and introduces players to “game situations” on an 8’ basket. Basic basketball skills and strategies will be introduced. Learning and building on the fundamentals are still the top priority of this level. In addition to weekly practices, each Saturday in December will consist of “mini-clinics” followed by a 20-minute game. Starting in January, each Saturday will consist of a full game.
Boys 3/4 & Girls 3/4
For children currently in 3rd or 4th grade. This level builds upon the fundamentals of our Coed Grade 2 program. Players will take part in regulation games on a 9’ basketball with a scorekeeper and a certified referee. Learning and building on the fundamentals are still the top priority of this level.
Boys 5/6 & Girls 5/6
For children currently in 5th or 6th grade. Players will take part in regulation games on a 10’ basket with a scorekeeper and certified referees. Stats and scores are used for internal purposes only. No standings or game results are posted.
Boys 7/8 & Girls 7/8
For children currently in 7th or 8th grade. Players will take part in regulation games on a 10’ basket with a scorekeeper and certified referees. Standings will be posted for playoff purposes, but individual stats and game results will not be posted. The season will conclude with playoffs.
Unified Basketball
Hudson Unified Basketball is a collaborative team sport, composed of athletes (students with developmental challenges) and partners. The program is designed to offer all children a skill-based, competitive team sport plus an interactive social learning experience. It is open to children/young adults. This program will start in late November each year. Registration will open November 1st.
