Safe@Home is ideal for students that have expressed interest in assuming the responsibility of staying home alone.
Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies.
This is a 2-hour class and will run on December 3rd at Quinn Middle School from 5pm-7pm. Students should bring their own nut free snack and a drink. Enrollment is limited to 12 students. Appropriate for ages 9-11 years old.
About the Instructor-Ms. Heather Welch is a nurse educator from the American Heart Association Instructor Network. She has been teaching programs such as CPR/First Aid for over 15 years. She also has been practicing emergency medicine for over 25 years.
