RECkids ENCOMPASS gives children who might not thrive at our traditional RECkids day programs the opportunity to have a fun and successful summer, while interacting and playing with their peers, in smaller group settings. The participant to counselor ratio is typically lower compared to our other summer day programs.

Participants enrolled in this program will participate in age-appropriate small group activities, games and arts & crafts projects with their peers, while having the opportunity for plenty of outdoor play throughout the summer. Our program objective is to foster positive youth development among our participants in a relaxed and fun environment. Participants must bring snacks, drinks, and lunch daily.

This program will take place at the FOREST AVENUE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Children MUST be entering Grade K - 8, in September 2026. This program is a full-day program (8:30a-3:00p). The program starts on Monday, June 29th.

This program is limited to HUDSON RESIDENTS ONLY (exception: non-resident students enrolled in Hudson Public Schools may participate but will need to contact Hudson Recreation directly in order to register).

As part of this program we plan on offering participants a limited number of field trips and/or special events this summer. The registration fee includes any and all field trips/special events, unless posted otherwise.

Additional guidelines, including pick up and drop off procedures, will be sent out to registered participants prior to the start of the program. Information on field trips/special events will be emailed once finalized. Field trips/special events will not take place during the first two weeks of the program.
