Dates of Operation: Monday, June 3 - Sunday, August 18

Hours: Daily 9:00am – 7:00pm.

Lifeguards on duty: 10:00am-6:30pm.

Day Parking Pass (sold at Beach): $10 for residents, $20 for non-residents*

Season Parking Pass**: $50 for Hudson residents, $25 for Hudson residents aged 65+, $100 for non-residents

Note: Proof of residency and age required at time of purchase.

*Non-resident Day Parking Passes WILL NOT be sold on Weekends or holidays (June 19 and July 4).

**Season Parking Passes will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, May 29th and can only be purchased at the Recreation Office, Monday-Friday during business hours.

ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON JUNE 3^rd at 10:00am

Lessons are open to both Hudson Residents and Non-Residents

Three (3) individual weekly sessions offered, with lessons held Mon-Fri, between 10:30am - 5:15pm.

Session 1, July 15^th – July 19^th

Session 2, July 22^nd – July 26^th

Session 3, July 29^th – August 2^nd

Class schedule will be identical for all 3 sessions offered. Classes are held rain or shine, but not when lightning or thunder are present, as determined by conditions at Centennial Beach at the time of the lesson. The schedule may change at the discretion of the Recreation Department.

Registration Fees:

Guppies & Minnows, 25-minute lessons, $35.00 (+$10 for Non-Residents)

All other levels, 55-minute lessons, $60.00 (+$10 for Non-Residents)

Parking Passes:

Season Passes are $50 for Residents and $100 for Non-Residents. Season Passes can only be purchased at the Recreation Office, during business hours – contact us with any questions.

Day Passes are $10 for Residents and $20 for Non-Residents and can be purchased at Beach.

Our Unified program is going OUTDOORS! NEW this spring...Unified Outdoor Games! We're taking Unified outdoors. Each night will consist of various outdoor games, such as Kickball, Frisbee, Wiffleball, among others. The program is designed to offer all children a skill-based, competitive team sport plus an interactive social learning experience. It is open to children/young adults.

Equipment is provided--all you need to bring are sneakers, play clothes, and enthusiasm.

The program will take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm-7:15pm at the Cherry Street Field, starting April 30th and ending June 6th.

Hudson Unified Sports is a collaborative program comprised of Players, who may or may not have developmental challenges, and Partners, who are there to assist Players as needed.

SPRING LEAGUE IS SOLD OUT! Look for information on potential summer and fall leagues over the coming weeks and months.

Registration for Spring 2024 Women’s Softball will open Wednesday, February 28^th at 10:00am.

The league will play Sunday evenings from April 28 - June 9th with games times at either 4:30pm or 6:00pm at possible locations in Grafton, Hudson, Northborough, Southborough and Westborough. Therefore, some traveling to other towns will be required. Full season schedule will be set prior to the start of the season. There will be no games Memorial Day Weekend.

Each team will be scheduled for 6 games. Playoffs are not being considered at this time. Games will be 6 innings or 75 minutes, whichever comes first. 10 players on the field at once. Everyone gets to bat. Batters will start with a 1 ball 1 strike count. We will have 1 umpire/game. Additional league rules, guidelines, and expectations will be sent out prior to the start of the season.

Equipment: All players should bring their own glove. Batting helmets are not required. Each team will be provided a face mask for its pitcher should they choose to wear one (not required). Softballs, team t-shirts/jerseys, and at least one team bat will also be provided.

Hudson Recreation is HIRING for the position of full-time Program Coordinator.

The Town of Hudson – Park Commission, Division of Recreation seeks an individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and detail oriented. They will have proven experience working collaboratively with others in the recreation industry, or like setting. Chosen candidate will possess the necessary combination of Education/Experience, Skills and Knowledge to support the Division of Recreation in achieving its short-term and long-term goals, to better serve the community. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to act independently. Candidates must have knowledge and proven experience in planning, implementing and promoting recreation programs, events and community services. Candidates with experience in Aquatics, Staff Development, Therapeutic/Adaptive Recreation, Youth Sports, Maintenance of Outdoor Facilities (including Splash Parks), encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management or a related field; two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within a like setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license; CPR, AED and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment).

Candidate must be flexible, as the days/hours of this position will vary based on programs and events, including working on weekends and limited holidays. The starting salary is $58,256. Full salary range $58,256 - $76,660.

Hudson Unified Noodleball is a collaborative team sport, comprised of athletes (students with developmental challenges) and partners.

Noodleball is a team game similar to deck hockey except that it is played with pool noodles and a soft 5" ball. The program is designed to offer all children a skill-based, competitive team sport plus an interactive social learning experience. It is open to children/young adults.

Equipment is provided--all you need to bring are sneakers, play clothes, and enthusiasm.

The program will take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm-7:15pm at the Quinn Middle School, starting March 7th and ending April 11th.

Registration as is open to students in grades K-12+.

The Hudson Park Commission/Division of Recreation would like to announce that applications are now being accepted for Summer 2024 Seasonal Employment opportunities. Positions available include, but are not limited to: Summer Program Supervisors, Leaders and Aides; Centennial Beach Staff: Waterfront Supervisors, Lifeguards, and Swim Instructors (WSI certificate preferred); Track/Field, Tennis and other various Clinic Instructors; and other part-time seasonal positions as needed.

Applicants should be 16 years of age or older, as of June 1st, 2024. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, March 29^th, 2024

This program will take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm-7:15pm at Quinn, starting October 3rd and ending November 9th with the following exceptions. The program will not take place on Tuesday, October 24th and Tuesday, October 31st.

Volunteers to help coach and/or assist in managing program logistics are always needed.

Financial assistance is available.

The Hudson Park Commission/Division of Recreation is seeking individuals Fall/Winter part-time seasonal positions. Positions available may include, but are not limited to Gym Supervisor, Scorekeeper, Referee, and Clinician/Instructor.

The above programs are held nights and weekends throughout the fall/winter months. For more specific information regarding the positions listed above, please contact the Recreation Department.

Did you know Hudson Recreation is currently working on developing a recreation specific master plan. The Recreation Master Plan will serve as the mechanism to implement improvements/redevelopment of existing facilities and the development of new recreation facilities for the Town of Hudson. This will be accomplished through the master planning services as detailed in Town of Hudson - Division of Recreation - Master Plan, Scope of Work, while also taking into account the information collected in 2018 Community Survey and Community Innovation and Visioning Session.

As part of this process we will hold two (2) Public Input Sessions to gather further input from community members on December 17, 2019 at 2:00pm and 6:00pm, at the Hudson Police/DPW Building - Community Room, 911 Municipal Drive. Please consider joining us to learn more and participate in this process.

Hudson Recreation has 4 Pickle Ball nets at the Riverside Tennis Courts to be used for public play (seasonally). Use of the courts (both Tennis and Pickle Ball) is made available to individuals or organizations who reside in Hudson. When not in use, pickle ball nets are to be placed off the courts along the inside of the fence, closest to the parking lot so that they are always accessible throughout the season. The pickle ball courts can be used for open play with the exception of the days/times that the HHS Tennis Programs are utilizing the courts or when reserved for use by our local Pickleball group: Hudson, MA Pickleball.
